BRONZEVILLE LAKEFRONT COMMUNITY
WHILE WORKING AS AN URBAN DESIGNER AT SKIDMORE, OWINGS & MERRILL LLP
For more information on the status of this project visit:

Once proposed as the location for Chicago’s Olympic Village, the former site of Michael Reese Hospital has plans to be redeveloped. The 49-acre site is today vacant and mostly designated to parking space, serving McCormick Place’s massive requirements. The idea behind this proposal is to design a smart, sustainable, mixed use development that at the same celebrates Bronzeville’s deep culture and community.

I assisted the design of the overall urban framework and architectural massing strategy. I performed several climate analysis that guided the desired density and urban shape of the project. I participated in the creation of imagery and graphic content.
